Code: Name, Description and Application
F Free-machining condition, suitable for products with work hardening and heat treatment conditions during the molding process, the mechanical properties of the product are not specified.
O Annealed state, suitable for processing products that are annealed to achieve low strength.
H Work hardening state, suitable for products that are strengthened by work hardening. The product can be subjected to additional heat treatment after the work hardening, which can be reduced (in addition or not).
The H code is followed by two or three Arabic numerals. The solution heat treatment state is an unstable state. It is only applicable to alloys that are naturally aged at room temperature after solution heat treatment. The state code only indicates that the product is in the natural aging stage T. Heat treatment state (different from F, O, H state) Applicable to products that have been stabilized after (or not subjected to) work hardening after heat treatment.
The T code is followed by one or more Arabic numerals 3.2 T subdivision status. Add one or more Arabic digits after the letter T to indicate the subdivision status of T. 3.2.1 TX Status Add an Arabic number from 0 to 10 after T to indicate the subdivision status (called the TX status). The number after T indicates the teacup handling procedure for the product. TX subdivision status code description and application status code Description and application of TO solution heat treatment, after natural aging and then through the state of cold processing. The product T1, which is suitable for cold working to increase the strength, is cooled by a high temperature forming process and then naturally aged to a substantially stable state. Applicable to products that are not cooled after being cooled by a high temperature molding process (straightening and leveling, but without affecting mechanical properties).
T2 is cooled by a high-temperature molding process and naturally aged to a substantially stable state after cold working. It is suitable for cold-processing after T100 solution heat treatment after cooling by high-temperature molding process, cold working, or straightening and leveling to improve strength, and then natural aging to a basically stable state. It is suitable for the natural aging to the basically stable state after the solution heat treatment, after the solution heat treatment, the cold working, or the straightening and leveling to improve the strength. For the solution heat treatment, the product T5 which is not subjected to cold working (straightening and leveling, but does not affect the mechanical properties limit) is cooled by the high temperature molding process and then subjected to artificial aging. It is suitable for products that are artificially aged after being cooled by a high-temperature molding process without cold working (straightening and leveling, but not affecting the limit of mechanical properties).
T6 is subjected to artificial aging after solution heat treatment. Applicable to products that are not subjected to cold working after solution heat treatment (straightening and leveling, but not affecting the limit of mechanical properties). T7 is artificially aged after solution heat treatment. Applicable to products that have obtained some important characteristics after solid solution heat treatment, and the strength exceeds the highest peak point on the aging curve during artificial aging. T8 is cold-processed after solution heat treatment, and then subjected to artificial aging. Applicable to cold-worked, or straightened, leveled to improve product strength.
T9 is artificially aged after solution heat treatment and then subjected to cold working. Suitable for products that have been cold worked to increase product strength. The T10 is cooled by a high-temperature molding process, then cold worked, and then subjected to artificial aging. Suitable for products that have been cold worked, or straightened, leveled to increase product strength. Note: Some alloys of 6XXX, whether in solution heat treatment in furnace or quenching from high temperature forming process to retain soluble components in solid solution, can achieve the same solution heat treatment effect, T3, T4, T6, The T7, T8 and T9 states may be any of the above two treatment methods.
